PHOENIX -- Facing the prospect of potentially being swept out of the postseason's first round, first-year Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel on Sunday said he was "very" confident that he would return next season and that he has "full support" of the team's owner.

"I've got full support of [Suns owner Mat] Ishbia," Vogel said prior to Game 4 vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Suns have underperformed in Vogel's first season, especially given the caliber of talent in stars Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal -- the latter two who were acquisitions after Ishbia took over the team in February 2023.

Entering Sunday, the Suns have lost five straight playoff games, tied for the longest losing streak in playoff franchise history.

Vogel was signed to a five-year deal in June 2023. He succeeded Monty Williams, who was fired after the team's Western Conference semifinals loss to the Denver Nuggets.
